Misþyrming – Algleymi

A heavy weight lies upon the ground
the flood from the heavens.

Soon the long winter comes
and we are bound alone to the earth.

I. Orgia

The herd battles for its life
like swans against a storm.
They endure in believing
that they have a choice,
hahahaha…

He is well protected
behind white walls of concrete.
Do you really suppose that he, who has the power:
your Lord
grants you choice?

His realm thrives on war
and his citizens serve it obsequiously.
Why reject his realm
when our slavery is hidden
with dreams in wakefulness?

Now they summon the beast, rejoicing
and precipitate onwards, fanciful.
Raising the bounties of vine and vale
and dancing delightfully in oblivion.

His realm thrives on chaos
and his citizens exalt it, rejoicing.
Why doubt his works
when every strike of the whip
is as a tender breeze on cheek?

II. With Whips Aloft

The endoskeleton of all life is crippled
for the quintessences of life fall one after another.
The monster seizes them all
and efficiently sucks to itself
everything that once prospered.

There it stands proudly on weak ground
and eats the soil from beneath itself.
She tries her hardest
to fight back
but the reigning God, with whips aloft
does not give in.

He seizes the air
which gets scarcer by the minute
but even though the space shrinks and shrinks
prevails He still, with whips aloft.

III. Iceland, Castrated Dump

Gritty, lifeless soil
as far as the eye can see.
Here, nothing will ever prosper
or grow.

Unmunificent and ferocious
dominates the drought
and consequently ascends
the eternal night.

Life relocates itself
and aims to fertilize the soil
but weakened it retreats
back to the aimless odyssey.

Here, nothing will ever
prosper or grow.
Here, nothing will ever
live or flourish.

Iceland, castrated dump…

V. And When Autumn Ceases

like the agents of the will to live
we swing lonely
on the fingers of existence

the misdoings of the night
seduces the people
in the dead of the night

down the alley of days
from one cairn to another
intensifies the noise
down the alley of days
from one cairn to another
stretches the road

a voice that never ceases
fledges
self hatred’s wings

down the alley of days
from one cairn to another
intensifies the noise
down the alley of days
nothing succeeds
beyond the distress

VI. Everything That Once Prospered

It rained today
and my mind fluttered helpless around the void.

The lungs fought slowly for air
and heavily beat the bitter heart.

The smoke raised against the drops
like thoughts swinging in chains.

They ensnared themselves all around me
and held me restricted.

The clouds covered the skies
and closed us in.

Between the trees it creaked
when the drops hit the leaves.

The trace reaches far, if looked over the shoulder
and heavy is each and every step.

The sun descends slowly behind the clouds
slowly, but surely is she determined.

A heavy weight lies upon the ground
the flood from the heavens.

My ribs enclose thoroughly
my breath and heartbeat.

Soon the long winter comes
and we are bound alone to the earth.

VII. Ecstasy

It is but the same battle again and again
each and every day.
Always back to square one.
Ecstasy, where did you go?

The same old fight,
the pleasant rebirth.
The first hit is struck
and another one at once returned.

O, my love there you are!
I have missed you so hurtfully.
Walk with me, goddess.
Godlike, fill my void.

O, good God, I feel so relieved
and I want more, yes, more!
Bless me with your divine power
again and again, and again and again!

O, my love, never leave
me again.
You, who always are my conqueror,
I bow before for you.

VIII. Oblivion

I walked in a storm like before,
fought untamable forces
but I carried on intrepid
no, the end was not yet reached.

It seemed not within reach
that my oration would meet its effort
and it was getting frustrating
how the night kept increasing.

The gritty path I trampled firmly
and attempted to look ahead,
but the visibility turned out like before
entirely worthless.

Then, on crossroads I struck Him,
the one I believed best to recognize.
But He that there stood against me
proved to be nothing but a reflection.

He lead me on for a while
over heavy hills and lomas,
until we stood at last by the goal:
at the gates of the palace of Oblivion.

Now the night had reached its apex
and I stood on my pedestal
but not in the splendour of the bliss I awaited
but stark stripped down and destitute.
